Located 1-hour northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada is known for its unique geology, rock formations, and history is Valley of Fire State Park. If you haven’t been, add this to your next road trip bucket list! Open year-round, from sunrise to sunset, Valley of Fire State Park is totally worth checking out! I only had ONE DAY to explore the park and couldn’t fully knock out every hike or trail, but I was surprised at how much I could get done within just a few hours! Making my way home from NYE in Zion National Park, I decided to break up the long drive and explore a new state park.

🏕️ CAMPGROUNDS
There are two campgrounds in Valley of Fire State Park. Totaling 72 camping sites. All campsites are first-come, first-serve with a 14-day camping limit. An additional fee is required for an overnight stay. When I arrived, I was lucky to find camping options available at Arch Rock Campground. Additionally, there are camping options at the Atal Rock campground as well.
