My passion for the outdoors, backpacking and road trips happened YEARS after high school. I didn’t grow up with opportunities to camp out very often, and I still remember my very first hike and backpacking trip.
I guess you can say it was luck? To have fallen in love with backpacking on my very first trip. Don’t get me wrong, even after several years I can honestly say it doesn’t get easier, but it’s ALWAYS worth it! I believe travel (by car or foot) is one of the most rewarding experiences- it opens our mind, and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us!
Forever She Wanders is a resource for women who are planning their next trip, whether it’s a weekend long getaway or a month-long thru-hike. We share tips, guides, gear recommendations, as well as personal stories and experiences from the trail and on the road!
